PREVIOUSVALUE( `series`, `integer`)

Returns the value of a given series or expression from the previous row.

### Arguments

| Argument  | Description                                                                              |
| --------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `series`  | Series to return offset row from                                                         |
| `integer` | Optional. Default is -1. Number of rows to offset. `integer` can be positive or negative |

### Output

The value of a series or expression from the previous row or a row offset by a specified number
