# Merge

Merge datasets in a structured, repeatable way on the Cascade canvas. Connect the [Append](https://docs.cascade.io/cascade/tools/combine/append) tool to multiple upstream tables to merge their rows. Use the [Join](https://docs.cascade.io/cascade/tools/combine/join) tool to merge two datasets into a single table, based on a shared column.
